Rules & Regulations

General Event

Golfer Eligibility

The Mountains of Gold is open to golfers age 19 and over, as of May 14th, 2010. Any underage golfer found registered in the event will not be eligible to qualify for the final tournament, or win cash or in-kind prizes. If a minor has been erroneously booked in the event, a refund will be issued, provided it is before their scheduled dates of play.

Prize Allocation and Acceptance

Due to the volume and value of prizes offered through the 2010 Mountains of Gold, amateur golfers assume all liability for playing for, or accepting prizes offered, and the impact that may or may not have on their amateur status. Mountains of Gold and partners waive all responsibility for educating or informing participants (Pros and amateurs) on any rules and regulations pertaining to prize allocation or acceptance. Participants may play for charity if they prefer.

Refunds and Exchanges

Cancellations: Once booked and confirmed, there are no cancellations allowed within 30 days of play. Purchasing cancellation insurance when booking will allow golfers to cancel at no charge, anytime up to 30 days before their scheduled rounds. With cancellation insurance, you will be refunded the entire amount of your booking, less the cancellation fee, starting at $39, and any applicable taxes.

Exchanges: Once dates are formally confirmed by Mountains of Gold, any Date Change Requests may be made up to 30 days before the scheduled dates of play, based on availability by calling 1-877-427-7847

A change fee of $25 per golfer, plus any additional upgrade or service fees will apply to any exchanges. Should there be a change of golfers within the party, the new participant name and information must be submitted in full, and a change fee of $25 plus any applicable upgrade charges and service fees will apply.

Event Cancellations

Cancellations of rounds, events, draws and prizes may be made at any time at the discretion of Mountains of Gold event organizers. In the event of golf round or event cancellations for any reason, confirmed participants will be advised and, as appropriate, a date change will be issued, or refund may be made.

Inclement Weather

Should your scheduled golf round be cancelled by any of the participating courses due to inclement weather or sub-par conditions, Mountains of Gold will make every effort to provide alternate play or to reschedule your game for a later date of your choosing, based on availability.

If no alternate play is available, the golfers will be issued a partial booking refund or a credit voucher for future play at the participating golf courses. Cash refunds will be made at the discretion of Mountains of Gold event organizers.

General Responsibility

Any changes in event details, rules, prizes or offering may be made at any time at the discretion of Mountains of Gold event organizers. Should there be any changes to your booking once confirmed, you will be notified by email and/or phone by event Staff.
