Summer Rules of Play

Mountains of Gold 124-day golf event - May 14-September 14, 2010

Each day, from May 14 - September 14, registered golfers will play in accordance with their scheduled tee-times, at their pre-booked, confirmed Courses.

All golfers are required to play both Shadow Mountain, St. Eugene, and one other golf club during their stay. The golf round played at Shadow Mountain is the qualifying round for the $1,000,000 Gold Rush Tournament. Failure to play any of the three courses will result in the inability to qualify for the Gold Rush Tournament.

Summer play scoring for Amateurs will be conducted using a Mountains of Gold version of the Callaway Scoring System to determine the daily winner in qualifying for the Gold Rush Tournament. The rules committee will make the final assessment on the application of the scoring system.

Each week the golfer with the best gross score of the week will be awarded entrance into the Gold Rush Tournament where their entrance costs into the Gold Rush Tournament will be covered, including golf and accommodation.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the best score shot on the predetermined hole of the week (there will be a different hole chosen each week). If the golfer decides not to accept their entrance into the tournament they shall receive a cash prize instead.
